MAKEUP MAGIC OF NORVIC TOTANES

Thursday, June 20, 2013

They say the bride is in her prettiest during her wedding day because she naturally glows. I believe that "natural glow" has  a lot to do with a fantastic make-up artist sorcery. Makeup Artists today are modern-day magicians. Days before my wedding, my skin was acting up again which resulted in dry patches and blemishes. I had also dark circles around my eyes because I keep staying up late up chatting with my family. But my makeup artist made those magically disappear on my wedding day. Looking for a makeup artist for wedding day is a challenging task. Of course you want to look your best on your special day. Who  doesn't, right? My close friend in high school in Saudi Arabia recommended Norvic Totanes. I did a makeup trial with her in Manila and I absolutely love the results. She uses the best makeup brands & tools and is a whiz with an airbrush. She has done makeup for Daphne Osena, Divine Lee and Maricar Reyes. I told her what I want for my wedding day is a makeup that is 'just me'. I don't want to look overdone nor do I want any drastic makeup transformation. And on my wedding day, I was very happy with the result of my makeup. I did two looks for the wedding: a messy up-do with fresh makeup with a glow and a side part do with smoking eyes & plum lips.

Not only is Norvic Totanes an amazing beautiful makeup artist, it is fun to be with her. She makes the bride feel relaxed and I enjoyed the quality time we spent with Edmarri as I relive love story of J & me. She is highly- recommended.

Thank you Ate Norvic for making me look beautiful on my wedding day. Mwah! And Thanks Edz for introducing me to your Ate Norvic....

WEDDING INSPIRATION: PRENUP SHOOTS MAKEUP

Monday, May 6, 2013

For prenuptial shoots, you need three ingredients:

  • an excellent photographer
  • an amazing setting/location
  • a brilliant makeup artist/ stylist

Stir the three ingredient together with a game couple, you got a fun memorable prenup shoot.

Me and my fiance are far from models or 'artistas', not even close, haha but it was fun t dress up once in a while and glamorize ourselves for the shoot. I am glad I got a cool fiancĂ© you is happy to do the pictorial unlike some begrudging grooms I know,haha...

To help my transformation from an ordinary dudette into an attempt to be a pint-sized "mow-del" and glamour puss, I need an extraordinary miracle worker to do that. I called on Ira Jucaban, one of the sought-after make-up artist in Iloilo. Ira is a model's favourite makeup artist. His range of artistry is admirable and uses the best makeup products there is for his clients. And yes, my sensitive acne-prone skin didn't break-out the day after the shoot which made me oh-so happy. I wanted to have different looks for several locations. Ira has a talent of revealing to yourself a different persona you never thought you have in you by his makeup talent. Not only is he talented, he is also a lot of fun to be with. It is fun to have him in your shoot.

Here are my three looks for the prenuptial photoshoot:

Channel Blair Waldorf in preppy waves and satin headband

Bold Red Lips to spice up the Nautical Look

Vintage Glam. That Fascinator. That Finger Curls.

Thank you Ira for prettifying me for our prenup shoot.....

For brides-to-be, drop me a line or send me an email at littlemisshoneyblog@gmail.com if you are interested in getting Ira Jucaban for your prenup shoot or wedding. I would love to give you his contact details.

Stay in love and pretty, everyone!

PRODUCT REVIEW: ETUDE'S LOVELY COOKIE BLUSHER IN BLUEBERRY PIE

Monday, March 4, 2013

I have ran out of my favourite blushers. I can't find the usual blush-on that I like in Revlon and I am not keen on splurging again on another stash of Shu Uemura blush.

Getting older you see has its perks. You know know what looks good on you and what you prefer. In terms of makeup, I hate experimenting so I stick to what works for me. For blush, I am into the purple-pink color powder blush . So while waiting for my friends in Orchard, I realized that I need to bit of blush on my cheeks. I took advantage of free testers in Etude nearby. I found serendipitously the Lovely Cookie Blusher in Blueberry Pie.

It looks like a cute play make-up of a little princess. It comes with a white powder puff with a pink bow. After trying it, the very next day I bought it. It is  a good substitute for my usual blush-ons. I rarely use the powder puff though. I still use my angled Marionnaud brush.

PROS:
- Lovely packaging,  very compact and light.
- It stays on until late afternoon so no need for touch up.
- It is cost-effective. At $12.99, it delivers and it last for months. I bought it last January and I am not near on buying a new one.
-It has a wide variety of colors to choose from and it got the shade that I like.

CONS:
- It comes with a powder puff that is rarely use and you must need a brush to substitute.
- It has a bit of whitish sheen to attempt to highlight but it can come off a bit ghost-ish. So apply some foundation powder on it to neutralize the gleam.

Sorry for the reuse of the picture but this is the first time I used the Etude blusher

Will I repurchase it again?

Yes especially on the ber-months. But if my Revlon Blush-On is available or I want a bronzer-effect during summer, I will skip on this.

Have you tried this Etude Blusher? Let me know what you think...

PERFECT EYEBROWS BY ETUDE

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

They say that a perfect eyebrow can define the face of  a person. If you don't believe me, ask Claudine Baretto-Santiago. When they shaped and trimmed the bushy eyebrows of the teenage Claudine Baretto, a beautiful woman emerged. That is why most make-up artist nowadays are obsessed with the perfect eyebrow gel or liner to beautify their client. They would invest in expensive brow kits.  I started having my eyebrows shaped with a razor by a professional when I am in college. I am one of the unfortunate people who has scattered eyebrows. I call it 'the man-ish eyebrows'. I never know how to put on the eyebrow pencil on it and when I tried, it would be an epic fail with me looking like I scribbled black pentel pen on my eyebrows.

But because of the current trend in the 'perfect eyebrows' and my old flatmate's  constant desire to 'fix' my eyebrows, I stumbled into something that just might help me step out from my Frida Kahlo-esque existence.

I saw this PERFECT BROW KIT in Etude House.

It comes with 2 tools inside and 3 shades.

First, use Tool B to smooth and brush eyebrows into shape. Then use the wide brush of Tool A to apply the colour 2 to fill in brows. Then using the angled brush of Tool A, apply the color 3 or 2 or both to define the brow wing. Lastly, light stroke directly on the brow bone underneath the hair to lift and illuminate using the wide brush of Tool A and the color 1.

I love this kit. It made me look like I have a well-shaped eyebrows. It fills in my scattered brows and thin brow hairs perfectly. It is also inexpensive until other brands.

This is the finish product on my brows. I know my brows needs a little more shaping but for now, I will have to do with this kit to define it a little bit.

Available in all Etude House stores

TAKING IT ALL OFF: MY RECOMMENDED MAKE-UP REMOVERS

Sunday, January 20, 2013

After a serious acne breakout and with my wedding just a few months away, I realised I have to rethink and get serious in how I remove my make-up before going to sleep. I realise I am not vigilant in removing my makeup which I believe is one of the reason for my breakouts. Even if I don't wear foundation but I use heavy duty concealer which if not properly removed can cause clogged pore leading to acne.

I used to just straight off wash my face with my facial wash & tone and that is it for my cleansing regimen. But now I know better, I need to use a proper make-up remover to get rid of all the junk I put on my face during the day. Since I have also a sensitive skin (gosh, I'm lucky! *sarcasm...), I am wary in trying new make-up removers. I tried using before popular oil-based make-up remover which only lead to more break-outs.

But after identifying and accepting that my skin is sensitive and acne-prone, I finally found the perfect make-up removers for me. Weeee!

Nowadays, I remove my make-up immediately after work. I don't allow it to sit in my face in longer periods of time. Then what  do is use GARNIER CLEAN SENSITIVE GENTLE CLEANSING MILK.

The instruction say, put an amount on a cotton pad and wipe off make-up. But I do it differently. What I do is to put the milk directly to my face and I massage the make-up off my face then wipe it with cotton pads.

Then to insure that all make-up is totally remove, I wipe my face off with SIMPLE KIND TO SKIN CLEANSING FACIAL WIPES.

Simple products are popular UK brand that specialised on products for sensitive skin. A friend of mine mentioned this brand in passing and I decided to try it out. This is also very handy. I bring this  along when I'm going to the gym. I removed my make-up before I do any gym classes. Sweating and make-up are not perfect combination.

When my make-up removing regimen is done, I wash it with  either my regular Salicylic Acid wash or Cetaphil wash or my oatmeal bar soap. I noticed the difference after using my make-up removers. My face doesn't feel like sand paper and that I don't need to scrub it too much to take the make-up off. Now washing my face is such a joy because my skin feels smooth and my facial wash just glides on perfectly.

However, these makeup removers are not really good in removing my water-proof mascara. I have to wipe and scrub my anorexic lashes with the facial wipes a couple of times. I have yet to find my holy grail eye make-up remover. Any suggestions?

So there you have it, my make-up remover discoveries! And I love 'em! Share with me what are your favorite make-up removers?

ALOE VERA: THE MIRACLE PLANT

Friday, December 14, 2012

I have been breaking-out quite badly lately maybe from the air-conditioning or stress, or the new facial cream or not enough exfoliation. For whatever the reason, my skin is screaming in utmost rebellious anger. And to worsen the situation, I over-treated myself with spot treatment causing several burnt skin in the process. Huhuhu!

I am sure you have been in my situation that you wanted a cystic pimple to go away a soon as possible you keep reapplying  and reapplying the benzoyl peroxide ointments like Panoxyl , Katialis etc. on the pimple to notice that a large patch of skin was burnt and removed. And sadly, it usually takes 1-2 weeks before it will actually heal.

But a colleague friend of mine mentioned to me that a friend of hers told her to use aloe vera in her pimple-treatment-burnt-skin situation. (Yes, we were in the same predicament but apparently mine is much-much worst, huhuhu!)

I did search for aloe vera plant in the neighbourhood market but to no avail. And I don't know the Chinese name of Aloe Vera to ask Mandarin-speaking vendors.

But I was told by my friend that a repacked aloe vera gel can be found in some retail pharmacies like Unity.

I found this. This is the same one used by my friend.

After 3 days with this baby, my burnt skin was healed. Ok, it didn't heal or helped my break-outs but it calmed my skin and speed up the healing of the burnt area. I am so amazed at the magical powers of this plant. This is definitely a miracle plant!

Aside from healing burnt skin, it can also be used for ezcema, falling hair, dietary supplements, fresh food preservatives, gingivitis and treatment of wounds. Recent researches are done for the possibility of treatment of diabetes, high cholesterol and cancer using aloe vera. Isn't this plant just simply amazing! My respects to you, pointy gel-y green plant! (*Salute)

BENEFITS OF ROSEWATER TONER

Friday, October 19, 2012

I have always been using Eskinol Kalamansi Astringent as my toner for several years now. I have tried other high-end brands but I have always come back to Eskinol. I do worry though about the alcohol content of Eskinol which can be really harsh to the skin. I don't know if it is ageing or maybe the effects of the continuous usage of Eskinol to my now ageing skin, hehe, but I notice my skin tend to get really dry with several rough patches in certain parts of m face. So I decided to shift to a milder toner.

I have heard about the benefits of rosewater as toner several years back however, I can't seem to find a rosewater toner anywhere. But when I went to buy some stuff in this big department store named Mustafa in Little India that sells almost everything you need in cheap cheap price, I found one! Happy happy, joy joy!

I thought that it may be a bit too mild for me and wouldn't be able to remove the excess make-up after washing but I was wrong. It does a satisfactory job of removing the excess make-up. Rosewater is also known to have antibacterial effects that helps in other skin issues like acne, dry, stressed skin and wrinkles. What I like about it also is that it gives me a bit of the dewy glow that I like after application which reminds me a bit of the glow I get when I used the now-defunct BAHA (beta-hydroxy acid solution) of my dermatologist. I have using it for one week now and so far, I didn't notice any reactions to my sensitive skin. And also because of its aromatic compoment, you will be smelling the fresh light scent of roses everyday...

TRIED & TESTED BEAUTY PRODUCTS AND THE MEN IN OUR LIVES

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

I am a cheater. Yes I am. If I see an attractive exterior or a good packaging. I turn my back on the old and come running on to the new. Yes its an embarrasing to admit it but I just have to come out of the open. But just after a month of my unfaithful floundering, karma hits me in the face bigtime, no joke. Well, I am not talking about my man here, hehe, I am talking about my tendency to jump from beauty products to another beauty products just beacuse of an attractive packaging or marketing. It results to: blotchy skin, pimples small & big, dry skin and rough patches. I never learn. Here are words of wisdom for you people, just because it is expensive that doesnt mean it is going to work for you.  So time in time again, I keep coming back to what works for me: Olay Total Effects line.

It is unfortunate that the Olay Total Effects for Oily/Blemished Skin is already phased out but the Olay Total Effects that is now in day cream with spf 15 and the night cream works well for me. It is like my skin drank a lot of water. It is smooth and soft. The day cream is a perfect primer for your make-up and it already has sun protection. I also got the eye cream beacuse I got alarmed after seeing a wrinkle on my eye, hehe... Olay Total Effects has saved my face several time. So I pledge my love and devotion to this "miracle" brand with the blogosphere as my witness that I will never cheat on you ever again. I love you Olay Total Effects! You are my hero!

Anyhow, going back to the analogy of tried & tested beauty products and the man/men in our lives, I know women who easily get tempted with leaving their men for a man with better packaging (wink*wink*). I know the world can be a tough place to live in with so many variety of choices, so many attractive men with many different virtues & pogi-points to choose from, a girl can get dizzy with uncertainty. But I tell you, there will always be someone more or less handsome, more or less kind, more or less macho, more or less intelligent than your partner. But if it isnt broken don't fix it, girl. You are better off where you are because I bet my Olay Total Effects stash that you have better luck in love with your current guy that that guy you are contemplating to leave your current one. Beacuse after maybe a month, all you will get are karma, a face full of pimples and a horrible mix of guilt & regret. Like I tweeted before, "I realized that skincare products are like your bf/gf. If it works, don't dare change it just because u got enticed by good packaging. Stay!" Happy Monday!

BACK-TO-SCHOOL BEAUTY LOOT

Friday, June 15, 2012

It's back-to-school you guys? Do you remember before when we were still in school? We get so excited in going back to school after summer because we get to have new school stuff! New bags, new shoes, new notebooks, new pencilcase, new erasers...... Ahhh! Sarap buhay-student.... But wait, why can't all those in school have all the fun.... So, I too should have new stuff too --- my "back-to-school" beauty loot!!! Wehehe.....

I have accumulate some new cosmetics in time for this "back-to-school" envy, some of which were given, some where bought because it was time to replenish my old stash and some are out of impulsion, hehe..Presenting my "back-to-school" beauty loot:

1.NANNY ROSE'S QUEEN BEE FOUR SLICES OF RASPBERRY CHEESECAKE         LIPBALM

I admit the packaging and name lured me into buying this cheap (P99) lipbalm. It has the light scent of the raspberry cheesecake but no flavor of cheesecake that I hope. It was a bit too dry and doesn't achieve the gloss and moisturization I was hoping for a lipbalm. But it is perfect if I want to lighten and mattify my lipstick which gives off a more natural colored lips.

2. REVLON PHOTOREADY CONCEALER (Medium Deep #005)

I have run out of my stash of Cinema Secret Ultimate Foundation/Concealer. The disadvantage of living in Iloilo City is that it lacks the availability of major cosmetic brands like MAC, Keihls, Bloom, Shu Uemura, etc and of course Cinema Secrets unlike in Manila or Cebu. Since it takes a bit of time to ask people I know Manila to buy me my favorite concealer, I looked for  a temporary substitute. This concealer could be a good substitute. It is easily applied because it comes in a tube like a lipstick. It can conceal pretty well though Cinema Secrets is still the top concealer/foundation for me. In the picture, the color may look a bit light but it was actually 4-shades darker when applied in my skin. Maybe it is because of my acidic skin. But it is easily remedied by applying my Maybelline Mineral Dual Powder over it.

3. AVEENO POSITIVELY RADIANT LINE (Brightening Cleanser & Daily Moisturizer)

I read about this product in a Preview magazine May 2007 issue in their  Girls of the Summer segment. Martina Quirino raves about this product that she says even out her skintone and makes her skin dewy. I did try using the cleanser before when I was still in residency but my skin that time was going crazy from stress that I discontinued it and sticked to a milder soap. I decided to try the product again this time. The Cleanser smells so nice and after washing my skin feels so soft. The Moisturizer has a more herbal-y smell though. What is great about this product is that it has SPF 15 and that it doesn't feel heavy or sticky on the skin. This Aveeno line claims to target all 5-Factor Radiance: tone, texture, dullness, blotchiness and brown spots leaving your skin looking fresh, awake and luminous after 4 weeks use. So I will let you know after 4 weeks, ok?

4. RICHENNA VOLUME UP MAGIC

I been looking for the Thermasilk Volumizing Spray but it is not really available here, unless you get lucky and find it in PX-goods store. Then I found this in Watsons. Since these days I am sporting my hair into my naturally-straight bob and it usually gets too flat, limp and had the unavoidable fly-aways, I need a product to straighten the fly-ways and volumize my hair. How to use this product: After shampooing, slightly dry hair and spray the product 10-15cm away from hair. Then you may style with dryer, roller, flat -iron or curling iron. I use a flat iron. This product is for volume, curl & straight. There is also another one only for straightening & volumizing only. This one is a good substitute for Thermasilk. It is not too oily and give the hair a bit of a shine. It needs more help in the volume department but then again maybe I blow-dry my hair to fast anyways...

5. MAYBELLINE PURE FOUNDATION MINERALS (Ochre 3)

This is currently my favorite. I don't use it for foundation, rather I use it as my blush-on. There are seasons where some make-ups work and in other seasons, it doesn't. Before I use the Nichido Blush-on but recently, it look more orangy-pink and quite unflattering. I decided to go for  a more neutral looking cheeks. I got the mineral foundation in the darkest shade and used it as my blush-on. It works perfectly. I don't really go well with the usual bronzer so this is my best option, I love it!

6. REVLON COLORSTAY MINERAL LIPGLAZE (Perpetual Plum)

I love plum lip color. It's my go-to color for lipsticks. I am happy with this serendipitous purchase. I got at 50% discount price too... Bargain! My old lipstick is almost finished and I need a new one. I would say that looking for a lipstick color is similarly looking the right man in your life, hehe. I am very particular with lipcolor and I can't just go wing it with any lipcolor. So this one qualifies in my requirement for the right lipstick. The downside is that since it is ColorStay, it does hold on to your lip but it feels like a glue. It also tends to smear a bit especially on the upper lip. Here is how it looks in my lips....

Have you tried any of these products? Let me know what you think of them.

Happy Back-to-school, pips! Xoxo

GUEST BLOGGER: CHIN-CHIN VITO TELLS US HER SUMMER ESSENTIALS

Monday, April 23, 2012

Beauty and charm are the first things that came into my mind when I met our guest blogger. She remind me of those chic cute French chick... She is adorable! Much to my delight, I learned that she is a blogger too. A beauty blogger! I enjoy reading her reviews on different cosmetics and her make-up tutorial. I love cosmetics too but I am not an expert on the art of putting make-up especially eye-makeup... I am hopeless! Good thing, I have her blog to rescue me from a makeup crime. So welcome beauty blogger, Chin Chin Vito as she introduces to us her blog and tells us her summer essentials....

***************************

1. Who is "The Kikay Chronicles"  and what is your blog about?

I call my blog The Kikay Chronicles. It contains product reviews, make up looks, beauty tips and tricks that I got from a variety of sources.

2. When and how did you start blogging?

I actually started in 2004, I was a high school junior and blogging was just starting to go mainstream.

3. What is your catch phrase for your blog?

Make up, beauty, skin care and other chorvas. Other chorvas because beauty doesn't always mean the superficial stuff, I also want to do some "alternative" beauty posts that encourage and empower in the future

4. Who is/are your favorite blogger/s?

All the blogs I'm following! Hehe

My Favorite Summer Essentials

It's summertime once again, that dreaded season when the sun decides to plague us with its constant and burning presence (sorry, sun Nazi here). With  humidity and heat levels reaching an all-time high (an infernal 42 C in Cagayan Valley just last week!), I decided that it's just fitting that I tweak my beauty routine a bit.

Considerations should be:

SPF, SPF, SPF!
Choose only lightweight, water-based, sheer-finish products
Waterproof/sweat-proof make up
Beauty philosophy: natural, dewy, and hydrated

The Extras:

1. Sunglasses (Php 250, Cebu Pacific)-they actually sell these on the plane, they're cute and cheap and I couldn't resist. Protect your lovely ojos from sun damage (especially the delicate undereye area) with a pair of oversized shades

2. Small scarf (H&M)- Keep hair away from your face with a scarf. Choose one in a fun print, and use as a headband or tie around your ponytail.

3. Umbrella (SM Department Store)- tote around a small, folding umbrella. Aside from wearing sunblock, it's also a lot better to have physical protection against the sun

Body:

4. Banana Boat Sport Sunscreen Lotion, SPF 50 (Php242, Watsons)- I've been using this for a year now and I love it! I always walk around in the sun and so far my skin hasn't darkened that much at all. It's also super lightweight and has a mild scent, unlike the heavy sunblocks of yesteryears that leave you smelling like you bathed in lana (coconut oil). Use daily all over the body for maximum sun protection

Face:

5. Nivea Shine–Free Collagen Protect Face Fluid SPF 30 (Watsons, Php 240)- use a separate sunscreen for your face. Choose one that's moisturizing and lightweight.

6. Maybelline Clear Smooth Aqua Gel Foundation (Department Stores, Php 350)- I don't wear foundation everyday, but if I had to, I would choose this. It's water-based, so it's lightweight and goes on sheer. Gives light to medium coverage. You won't feel like you're wearing foundation at all.

7. Victoria's Secret Airbrush FX Face Primer with SPF 20-again, not a daily essential but great for summer weather. Avoid make up meltdowns caused by heat and humidity with a face primer that's light and has SPF.

8.  Myra E's Vitasmooth Shine-Free Face Powder with SPF 15 (Watsons, Php 130)- my current weapon against the oilies

Cheeks/Lips:

I don't enjoying wearing too much products on my face when it's so hot out, so I prefer to put focus only on the cheeks or lips. The flushed (for fair-skinned girls) and bronzed(for dark-skinned girls) looks are so easy to do and could easily make you look healthy and glowing.

9. Nichido Powder Blush in Tomato and Cool Rum (Php 88, department stores)- love these! Inexpensive, nice packaging, and very pigmented. Be sure to blend out with a blush brush though, to avoid getting clown cheeks.

10. Allue Hypoallergenic Cheek Gel (HBC, Php 85) - formulated for pre-teens, hypoallergenic and has a mild, sweet scent. It's not very pigmented, but it's buildable- which I think is great to prevent blush mishaps. Can also be worn on the lips to give you that just-bitten look. Try this when you're going out for a swim or to the gym to give a subtle, flushed look.

11. HBC Mousse Blush in Pink (HBC)- another blush again which I love because it's sweat-proof, great for exercising or whatever. Very pigmented-a little goes a long way. Warm up the product with your fingers first before patting onto cheeks, as it's a bit difficult to blend because it doesn't contain silicons.

12.Etude House Dear Darling Lip and Cheek Tint in #3 (Etude House, Php 198)- my HG lip and cheek tint! I bring this with me everyday and everywhere I go. Nicely pigmented,  smells good, doesn't taste bad, and is easy to spread. I love that it leaves a light stain even after I eat.

13. Human Nature Peppermint Lipbalm (Human Nature, Php 64)- get a tinge of coolness, even if it's only on the lips, with this refreshing lipbalm from Human Nature.

How about you, did you switch up your summer routine already? What are your summer favorites? :)

GUEST BLOGGER: HONEY ANDRADE of SOMNIUM ET VITA SHARES WHAT'S INSIDE HER KIKAY KIT

Tuesday, January 31, 2012

You are in for a treat because my guest blogger for this month has a name as sweet as mine, hehe.... Welcome Honey Andrade of Somnium et Vita I am one of the followers of her awesome blog and I truly enjoy reading her entries, it's fun, thought-provoking & inspirational. And today, this gorgeous gal will let us take a peak inside her make-up kit....Yey! A girly indulgence....  But before that, let us get to know more of Honey's blog....

****************************************

Blog type: Fashion & Lifestyle / Personal

1. What is your blog about? -

Somnium et Vita (Dreams and Life in Latin) is actually a mix of so many things.. But its basically about the stuff that I'm into-- shoes, makeup, food, photography and sometimes I also blog about personal stuff, hoping that other people will learn something good and useful from my thoughts and experiences. :)

2. When and how did you start blogging?

I started blogging way back 2003 but most of my entries were about my personal life (blogging was mostly used as a personal online "diary" back then anyway). I stopped blogging about a year after that because I got busy with school.. And then last April 2010 (after I was done with everything in school + passing the local board exams), I decided to give myself a chance to do the other things that I've always wanted to do (but didn't have the time) like buy a good camera and learn more about photography, go places, and basically learn new things and share it with people through my blog. :)

3. What is your catch phrase for your blog?

I had a banner on my blog before that said "Beauty is not in the face, beauty is a light in the heart". :)

4. Who is/are your favorite blogger/s?

Goodness, I have a lot!! But my top three are-- Kookie Buhain (www.deathbyplatforms.blogspot.com), Zubaida Jacob (www.butterhotshoes.com) and Lissa Kahayon (www.lissakahayon.com)

What's inside my Makeup Kit

I used to collect a lot of makeup but had to leave most of them back in Manila when I moved here to Kuwait. There was even a time when I almost wanted to buy eyeshadows and lipsticks in all shades available! Haha!

But on most days, this is what I carry with me inside my makeup bag:

1- Compact mirror
2- The Body Shop blush/powder brush
3- NYX lip creme in Monte Carlo
4- NYX lip creme in San Paulo
5- MAC lipstick in Captive
6- L'oreal blush in Old rose
7- The Body Shop lip and cheek tint
8- Revlon PhotoReady powder foundation
9- Rimmel Day 2 Night mascara
10- Colgate travel toothbrush
11- Travel Wipes
12- Dettol hand sanitizer

I know it may look like I'm carrying a lot (hahaha!) but when it comes to makeup, I do only carry three items when I'm carrying a smaller bag. :)

On my "lazy" days, these three products are all I need to survive. I also call this as my "no makeup" makeup kit. Haha!!

Rimmel Day 2 Night mascara,
The Body Shop lip and cheek tint and
NYX lip creme in Monte Carlo. :)
