MEDITERRANEAN DATE WITH THE FIANCE AT STAVROS

Saturday, March 24, 2012

It's summer... But it's raining?! Why?!! My fiance and I rather go to the Mediterranean beach ---hear the splashing of the waves, warm glow of the sun, see tanned hot bods and taste their savory cuisine....

But we have to end my hopeless daydreaming right there due to lack of funds (and apparently, lack of common sense.) But to appease our Mediterranean whim, we headed to the nearest Mediterranean restaurant we could find, Stavros.

 We ordered:

Stavros Special Pizza P295
It has tomato, mozarella, artichokes, bacon, ham, parmesan and mushroom. This pizza does make me instantly travel to St. Tropez beach (feeling lang...). I could taste  and smell the richness of the herbs and the cheese they used was very delectable. I love the crunch of the crust of the pizza. I will definitely order this one again.

Chicken Tikka Kebab P199

We ordered this because the waiter said it is the spicy version of a grilled chicken. In the menu, they promised us a big rice but this was not our version of  a "big rice". The Chicken Tikka Kebab was a bit too thin for our taste. (Yes! Yes! We admit. We are voracious eaters!) It comes with two sauce: Tzatziki, a classic Greek sauce made of blended cucumber, yogurt & mint leaves and Pepper Sauce. It also has a salad side dish. The kebab is a bit on the bland side and the sauces didn't help, either. Thank God for the pizza.

Next time, I might try their panini breads....hmmm....

We had fun in our gastronimic trip to the Meditarraneans, we are back to reality now, hehe... Gia' Shoo
