WEDDING INSPIRATION: SAME-DAY EDIT VIDEO

Sunday, April 21, 2013

I feel blessed (and my fiance can say the same way too) that we are getting married in the time when wedding videography has upscaled their game. Gone are those boring long-length wedding videos with couples framed by a digitalized heart. Now the videography is as important (if not even more) as the bride's gown or the cake. Videographers now are the superstars of the wedding. Hence, the same-day edit video in weddings are born. It has became the highlight of most weddings. Videographers would take portions of the nuptial mass, some earlier parts of the receptions, some of the prenup & postnup videos and make it into a six-seven minutes music-video-esque of your love story & your wedding. I love it! We love it! These videographers are geniuses, how they can work against time make this beautiful masterpiece that tugs hearts and make even the toughest ones shed a tear. This is  a perfect souvenir for the couple to keep and cherish.

There are so many great wedding same-edit video out there. But I just chose of  three of my favourites.

1. THUY & JAVIER BY MAYAD STUDIOS

Thuy and Javier: China Escapade from Mayad Studios on Vimeo.

This was the first same-edit video I have ever seen. I am blown away. It is dramatic. It is poetic. It is breathtaking. It made me tear up along with my colleagues who were watching it with me. It was a beautiful wedding in China. But I couldn't help but glow with pride that the videographers of Mayad studios are young fellow Ilonggos. They are amazing. They have covered Shalani Soledad & Rep. Ron Romulo as well as blogger/host Patty Laurel's wedding too.

2. CARLO & CAT BY BOB NICOLAS

Initially, my fiancĂ© and I wanted to have  a beach reception. We love the beach. Watching this make us dream of a beach wedding. But since hijacking all our relatives to a nice pristine white-sand beach for our wedding seem impossible for us, we decided to settle on a garden wedding instead. But a girl can still dream right? Carlo & Cat has the perfect picturesque backdrop for their wedding: Coron, Palawan. Sigh....

Bob Nicolas is one of the sought-after and respected videographer. I like everything that he captured in the video--- the flying sky lanterns, the capiz-shell lights, the music, the radiance of the bride and the look of the groom when he shaw his bride. It is magical. It is whimsical. It is laid-back cool and naturally elegant.

3. ROBBIE & CHRISTINE BY DP WEDDINGS

Christine + Robbie from Aaron on Vimeo.

Weddings are fun events. Along with the happy tears, there must always be happy loud laughs and lots of dancing. I know the bride, Christine personally. She is the sister of my good friend, Catherine and she knows how to have fun. Can I say, "Happy Bride, Happy Life". It sets a jovial tone for a start of great marriage. And from the looks of the video, this wedding is one happy fun wedding set in a beautiful Tuscan Villa in California. You can  tell everyone is having  a great time in the video. I would bet even the photographers and videographers are having  a blast. Beyonce and maracas are a playful & perfect touch for the wedding and video. I love how the music played with how the makeup artist dust on the blush on the bride's cheeks and how the bridesmaids & bride ham it up for the video cameras. It's cheeky. It's vibrant. It's quirky.

I have two other specials mentions:

- Coy & Tuesday's by Mayad Studios

Yes, its the Mayad Studios again. Like I said, they are amazing. Add the witty funny Tuesday Vargas into the mix, this is one of the funny cute wedding videos I have seen too.

- Elo & Mara by Jason Magbanua

This video had gone viral. Love between a sweet-faced little man and beautiful lady. True love prevail in whatever shape and sizes. It is a beautiful love story. You can help but shed a tear or two. Jason Magbanua  has captured the pure essence of true between these two. He is one of the best in the business too. I believe even be more in-demand after this.

Enjoy the videos I have shared. Care to share your favorites too? Hit me a comment  and link down below. I would love to see it too.

In  matter of weeks, we get to see our own weddding video too... We can't wait! #giddybride #happy bride
