INVENTIONS & DESIGNS IN ONE RAINY DAY

Friday, February 1, 2013

I was in the area of Tanjong Pajar one rainy day when I saw this lovely building which I gravitated to.

My first thoughts were: Ain't this a lovely backdrop for a prenup pictorial? But my fiancĂ© and I did decide to scrap our initial plan to do our prenup pictorial in Singapore and rather have it back home in the Philippines. But I still couldn't get over my curiosity what is behind this interesting red building. As I step in, I see a cafe and  restaurant and moving further in, I see what it is: A museum of  designs and new inventions.

To enter the museum, you have to go pass through the museum shop first which sell some cute finds and  some stuff that you can see inside the museum.

As you come in the museum, the place looks quite dim but interesting lightings as spread all over the place.

This place is an interior designers haven because here you can see interesting furnitures and designs to inspire you. They have a Red Dot Design Awards space as well as a space in the middle of the museum for more informations for cool & new designs.

There is also a colorful and extraordinary space with Tupperware containers plasters on the wall. Tupperware was give the Red Dot Design Team of the Year Award.

It looks so fun & lively

Here are some interesting new invented stuff I found in the museum:

SIGVARIS Mountain Compression Socks
This state-of-the-art socks that has a comfortable anti-blister construction and Achilles tendon protector. It also has a polycolon functional fibre that keeps feet dry in an extended period of time.

Isn't this a different-looking vacuum cleaner? Spiffy!

Buddy's Mighty Pack
This might look like your regular-looking backpack. But this backpack can be adjusted to the child's measurement from aged 7 to 12. Talk about saving bucks for a long-time use of knapsack for your child. It also is evenly distributed at the back to protect the muscles surrounding the spine. And it has a fluorescent rain cover too.

Kinderwagen Xplory
This is the first ever pushchair which raises babies to comfortable sitting position which allows them to be in eye contact with their parents. It can be set in three different positions: the sleep, rest and active sitting.

BtoB
Looks like a cool water jug, right? Think again. BtoB means "Breast to Baby". This is an an electric breast pump. It is quieter and more discreet compared to other breast pump. They are also convenient to wear underneath a bra.

SenseMotion Tiani

Cute hot pink colour! This little thingie actually is an interactive device that enhance senses felt by  a couple during their most intimate moments. Say what?! It has a wireless remote  designed for natural grip. This is built with high grade silicone.  Among the 8 available vibration settings, there are two SEnseMotion modes that allow for intuitive control facilitated by mere touch to the remote-control device. Doesn't this look like a perfect wedding gifts for newlyweds? Hehe....

Sky Planter Plant Pot
This is so lovely, I want them for my home. This has an innovative Slo-Flo watering system to keep plant hydrated. It wont have any water dripping nor any soil escaping.

Purist Hatbox Toilet
This thing reminds me of Jackie O's pillbox hat. It hardly looks like a toilet at all. It is very modern and minimalist and comes with an electric pump. Shall I say, very Jackie O?

QlockTwo Wall Clock
A clever way to read time. I love this! I would buy this for my future living room. It think it is brilliant and chic. It does remind me of an ophthalmologist's visual acuity chart, hehe...

I have seen puzzle rings in Saudi Arabia and it is quite popular during my high school day when I was studying there. Now here is a different spin on the definition of puzzle ring. It's genius!
