Post bday celebration: Guimaras Adventure with boyfie.

My boyfie and I took advantage of his vacation leave and decided to have a post birthday celeb at Guimaras Island!!!

We took a boat from Iloilo to Jordan, Guimaras. It cost us P12 per head for a 15mins trip to the island.

First up was Camp Alfredo. They offer zipline, rappelling, hanging bridge, etc. They also have cute cabins (P3,000 per night) for those interested in staying the night.

We picked the 1 ride zip which is already inclusive of the hanging bridge and rappelling......

Getting strapped for the zip and negotiating at the same time, hehe
Going up for the zip
We requested for the Superman zip rather than doing it sitting down
Weeee!
That's my shadow, hehe

The hanging bridge
Doing yoga on the hanging bridge
Rappelling
I love rappelling!

We were famished when we were done. We had already pre-ordered  our late lunch and it didn't disappoint.

Next, we visited the Trappist Monastery. We said a little prayer in their chapel and visited their gift shop where they sell delicacies made by the monks. It is a place where retreats and recollections are held or if you are seeking a personal and quiet time with God. They have facilities for overnight stays.

Boyfie bought cross keychains for both of us and I bought a mango cookies for us to munch on.

We were about to go straight to the boat dock to go back to Iloilo when the tricycle driver, who patiently waited for us at Camp Alfredo & took us on a sidetrip to the Trappist Monastery, asked if we want to do some target shooting. I thought that part of Guimaras was far from Camp Alfredo so we didn't include that in our itinerary. But, i was wrong!!! So yeaa! We made another detour to the Adventure Park.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner (son of the owner, I think), Mr. Vince. We were told by the tricycle driver that the place is owned by Gen. Corpuz. It is a large piece of land. They offer paint ball games, target shooting and many more. Mr. Vince enthusiastically gave us a crash course on ballistics and things we should know about guns. We tried our best to saturate all the knowledge like sponges. Oh well, most of the saturation was on my boyfriend's end, I was just too busy keeping us with all the gun lingo, hehe...

But i had manage to retain a few things about the lecture: Never put your finger on the trigger if you don't intend to shot at the moment. But apparently if you see in movies, most of the action star put their finger on the the trigger while running to look for the bad guy. Wrong!!! There is one action star however who does it right, though. Its Mr. Eddie Gracia! He puts his trigger finger on the side.  There are also points system in the shooting board. The zone A, B, C, and D. A corresponds to the thorax region and head region, this is equal 5 points. The Zone B is 4 points, C- 3 points and D- 2 points. Also never place your gun pointing towards a person.

Then comes, shooting time. Mr. Vince taught us different techniques in  target shooting.

My Action Star!

His favorite shooting style

I got a head shot and most of the shots are on the Zone A.. Not bad, ey?
It was such a fun adventure day with my sweetie... Til next time.... Bang! Bang!
