PRODUCT REVIEW: JUST BITTEN BY REVLON

Searching for the perfect lipstick is like searching for the perfect man.... Its a tedious job, hehe... I've gone from suble brown tints of Covergirl to the orange-y PecanFudge lipstick of Sara Collection and on to the bold plums of Maybelline.... Now that I am getting older (haha, I feel like a 50 year old woman after saying that), I opted for a more subtle natural looking lips.

Though I found what I been looking with Blooms' Lip Tint in Plum and Wet n' Wild Lip Pencil in # 666, they are not available here in Iloilo. Waaaaa! I need to purchase Blooms products in Beauty Bar Outlets either in Manila or Cebu and I can get my favorite Wet n Wild lip pencil if I ask friends & relatives visiting or living in the U.S. of A to buy me a couple. So what a girl to do?

I searched the different racks of makeup brands available here in Iloilo City to find a worthy subsitute and I settled my sights on Revlon.

I saw that they have now a lip stain which is strategically endorsed by the vivacious Jessica Biel. (Who does want to  look like her?! Or at least have a lips like Ms. Biel!). Lip stains are a better alternative for lipstick. It gives you a saturated wash of color that is more natural-looking  than the usual lipstick and your pout will last for hours.

Presenting Revlon's Just Bitten LipStain + Balm

It has a wide range of colors. The color Beloved/Adoration just fit me perfectly. So here are the pros and cons of this new baby of the Revlon line.....

PROS:
1. It achieves the subtlety in lipcolor that I been looking for.

2. It stay a tad bit longer than most of my lipstick(well, except for the Wet n' Wild lip pencil. )

3. It is easy to apply...even without a mirror.

4. It indeed promises the just bitten look without  looking dracula-ish.

CONS:
1. It comes with a lip balm on the other end but it doesn't serve much use. The balm is drying and  it breaks easily after several opening and closing of its cover. I rather use the Blistex Liptone Balm along with the lipstain.

2. It is also very drying and creates minute clamps on my lips.

3. I just used it for a less than a month but it seems like it already needs replacement. You need to press it onto your lips some more for the pigments to come out.  And to think, I don't use it everyday!

Here are my lips glazed with Revlon Just Bitten LipStain and Blistex Liptone Balm...

Is now my lips looking Jessica Biel-ish? Almost?? Hahaha, I wish.....

On the second thought, I guess I better slather on a hundred more Revlon Lipstain to achieve a lips like that.... Haaayz!
