One afternoon, I had a chat with my friend Kits a few days after the election. I know this is a late post but I couldn’t help but think that we need more passionate, empathetic citizens like him, someone who has genuine concern for our country.
Here are some of his patriotic rumblings:
“Our country needs to wake up.. Ka short term abi sang mentality sang most of filipino's , pang tawid gutom bla .. tagaan mu gamay mabigay na wla nila naisip ang long term effect..”
“Panu na mag grow ang isa ka country man.. We based our goverment on wood not on concrete.. Dali maguba..”
“Corruption is everywhere, its the other face of goverment. No president in the world could stop that.. How can a 1 man stop corruption???.. It’s a God given choice for a man to decide to do good or bad.. Based on his (Noynoy) track record not a single word did he say against corruption while his on office for more than a decade.”
“I’m sad not because for the outcome of the election but for the future of my children.. “
“its not just my right its my responsibility.. ”
I know the votes have been counted and the people have spoken. Placing our doubts and frustrations aside, we will support our new president hoping he will not disappoint us. We have a responsibility to our country to be a good citizen and we start by believing in our president that he can uplift our country with our help….. Ako ang simula….hehe
