OCEAN PARK

Monday, November 28, 2011

Our pharmaceutical friends brought me, Mel and Mar alongside  some of the Internal Medicine residents from Iloilo Doctors Hospital to Ocean Park Manila. Time to say hello to our underwater friends, hehe. When we got there, there were so many people, mostly kids on  a field trip.

We picked the package: Oceanarium + Antartica (We want to meet Happy Feet, hehe). But first we have to heed the calling of our grumbling stomachs. A resident from Iloilo Doctors Hospital who has been in Ocean Park before suggested a resto on the 2nd floor called Makan Makan Asian Village. We pigged out to our hearts delight. No fishes or penguins were harmed during this indulgent meal.hehe

Sate Babe
Spicy Squid

Chopsuey

Singaporean Noodles

Mar's Choice of Drink: Bandong - Pink Milk Tea with Jelly... Yum!

Eds' & My Choice of Drink: Green Apple-Carrot Juice.. Weird taste but healthy hehe.... Tolerable, hehe
Tom Yum Gong Soup. Cure for your flu.... Love its sour-ness
Pandan Chicken
Lechon Kawali
We were so full, hahaha. So while our stomachs were digesting all the Asian culinary juices, we headed first to the Oceanarium to meet the fishy-fishy-fishes......

Cute! She has a blue eyeliner.... Kikay!

Nemo!

Kissy the Fishy

Aren't they so cute? I was so fascinated with them. I wanted to change my profession and become a "fish-ologist". Is there such a word? haha. I just want to know more about these swimming colorful friends..... I am enthralled. Ocean Park in  HongKong might be bigger but there are more cute fishes in Ocean Park Manila and it is  not too crowded as compared in HongKong so I get to really enjoy viewing all of them . Though they may need a bit more expansion to compete with the standards in HongKong.

Next up was Antartica....Hello Happy Feet!

The penguins were teeny wenny hehe... And hmmp! they didn't dance for us..... hehe.. We were then ushered in a simulated Antartica.. Negative zero? Brrrrr! We put on our jackets to protect us from the freezing cold....

It was Christmas in Antartica, haha! Mar and I was locked in Antartica and waited for the next batch so the doors would open... Bloopers! hehe....

Ocean Park is best visited with the whole family especially if you have siblings and cousins ages 5 to 10 and all kids-at -heart. They will surely enjoy what Ocean Park has to offer.... Bye Fishes & Penguins! See you next time....
