BLOG Type: Personal

Simple Me is my personal journal. Simple Me is about my likes and interest’s. My travel, my escapades, and my adventures, shares my interest in gadgets, food, photography, people, Korean and Japanese drama.  Anything and everything that life has to offer me.

I was interested in blogging when every time I have to search of something and always reaches in a certain blog site. I told myself I wanted to make one of those blog sites. I search for a site where I could sign up and found BLOGGER.

I have signed up my blog through blogger since year 2009 but I didn’t eventually write any article right away for I was confuse and had lack of knowledge how to do blog site. Until I decide in year 2010 to manage to build a website and on the last quarter of 2010, I started to write my article continuously.

Here’s a Glimpse[LINK] and some Good Old Stories[LINK] of what I wrote at first in my blog site.

Since I love photography, ReinfriedMarass, a photographer, is one of my favorite photo blogger. Since I never been into photography school to learn more techniques, throughreading his article I learned a lot from his work. His work gives an inspiration to me.

Read and discover things with Simply Meas I share my Top 5 favorite Travel Spot as far I’ve been. For travelling is the only thing I bought that makes me richer in knowledge, experiences and memories (and gave meempty pockets too). hehehe

1. Glacier Southern Lakes in New Zealand (Helicopter Ride)

New Zealand has been known as the capital adventure of the world. Glacier Helicopters is the ideal way to view the stunning glaciers above with an opportunity to land right on the glacier.

We were so lucky to meet   “Alfie” as our Pilot for our scenic flight. Alfie was the principal filming pilot for films such as Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Peter Pan, The Chronicles of Narnia and King Kong, he pointed out to us some few films locations along the way.

with my sister Timy and Pilot Alfie
Riding a Helicopter for the first time in my life was a good experience. I felt a bit nervous but very much excited especially in the foreign country like New Zealand, discovering the beauty and stunning landscapes that surrounds. Since it’s an outdoor adventure in the alpine environment, comfortable shoes or boots, warm clothing and jacket is a must, camera too.

I really enjoyed the spectacular scenery above and when we land on the glacier, we took a lot of photos and enjoyed the snow as well. Ohhh I just miss those times.

Worth it to try and to experience some of the most spectacular scenery New Zealand has to offer.

A scenic flight is minimum of 2 passengers and maximum of 6 passengers (pilot excluded). We got it for a discounted price of NZ$190 each person(expensive but worth a try) for a duration of 30 minutes scenic flight with alpine landing.

2. Church of the Good Shepherd, Lake Tekapo, New Zealand

I was amaze with this Church. Situated on the shores of Lake Tekapo. The church is one of the most photographed architectural spot for its beautiful landscape that surrounds the church and one of the most visited tourist attraction. It features an altar window inside the church that frames the stunning views of the lake and mountains.

3. Underground River, Puerto Princesa, Philippines

A natural world heritage site at Puerto Princesa is nominated as one of the 28 finalists of the new 7 wonders of nature and now has been included under the provisional new 7 wonders of nature as of November 11, 2011. The official announcement of the confirmed winners will be happening on early 2012.

Wearing safety equipment provided such as helmet and lifejacket before boarding into this small boat which could accommodate up to 10 passengers plus the guide, regardless of our weight.

A well-informed and well entertaining guide/paddler guides us in our journey towards the underground river.  Guides explain to us everything and point out to us some unique rock formation. The Weather inside the cave is a bit cold but very tolerable, ideal for silent appreciation of the cave. It is so amazing to see the beauty of the cave minus the smell of the bats poo which is so unpleasant but still manageable; no wonder underground river became one of the finalists for the new 7 wonders of nature.  It truly deserves.

4. Everything in Singapore

I love Singapore. Singapore was the first country I’ve visited outside the Philippines.Commuting to different places in Singapore is very easy and assessable. I love all the spots there and hoping to be back again since Singapore has a lot of new things to offer, in shopping, food, resorts, theme park and more.

5. Theme parks / Amusement park

Oh, I love going to Amusement park for its entertainment attractions and rides (not the extreme and scary one, I might diehehe). It feels like I’m getting younger like a kid around the theme park. Enjoying the rides and the shows, eating popcorn and ice cream, strolling along the park, balloonsand souvenir shops or just simply sightseeing. There’s a lot of simple stuff to do and to enjoy a day at the theme park.

Here’s a few list of theme parks:

Movie World (Gold Coast, Australia) - A popular movie related theme park.
Dream World(Gold Coast, Australia) - Australia’s largest themepark with over 27 rides including 4 roller coasters.
Tokyo Disney Sea  (Chiba, Japan) - The most expensive theme park ever built and the second theme park to open at the Tokyo Disney Resort.
Tokyo Disneyland (Chiba, Japan) - The first Disney Park to be built outside of United States.

Universal Studio Japan (Osaka, Japan)
Enchanted Kingdom (Laguna, Philippines)
Ocean Park (Hong Kong) - A Marine Mammal Park, oceanarium, animal theme park and amusement park.
